Description:
* Prostate perennial.
* Inflorescence laxly spiciform, bearing deciduous racemelets appressed to the axis. Each racemelet consists of one spikelet, supported on a long stipe and subtended by a stout bristle.
* Spikelets: both glumes very small. Lower lemma membranous; upper lemma as long as spikelet.
Genus with 2 species.
