Castellia Tineo

Description:

* Loosely tufted erect annual. Leaves linear, flat, auriculate.

* Inflorescence in racemes, sparsely branched at the base, simple above, scattered along a central axis; spikelets distichous, subsessile, appressed to the axis.

* Spikelets several-flowered, laterally compressed, disarticulating between the florets. Glumes unequal, narrow, coriaceous, shorter than the lemma. Lemma membranous, densely tuberculate, rounded, 5-nerved, subacute. Hilum linear.

Genus with one presumably widespread species.
